There are plenty of child-friendly farms, but few offer such a carefree family vacation as Landhaus Averbeck in the Lüneburg Heath. My three-year-old son Leo (a big fan of farms) and I (more of a city person) put it to the test with a long weekend getaway. We discovered a paradise where, aside from our trusty rubber boots (thankfully packed), absolutely everything you could need for a joyful parent-child escape is provided.
