Why Sifnos?

Sifnos is a charming Cyclades island known for its traditional villages, excellent gastronomy, and relaxed atmosphere. It’s relatively small, about 40 km long and 6–10 km wide, making it easy to explore in a few days. The island is hilly and rocky, with dramatic landscapes, but it also has safe sandy beaches perfect for families, such as Platis Gialos, Vathi, and Faros.

The main town, Apollonia, is a picturesque village with narrow cobbled streets, whitewashed houses, boutique shops, and local cafés. Sifnos is especially famous for its culinary traditions – from fresh seafood and local cheeses to hearty traditional dishes – and it has many renowned tavernas run by family-owned businesses.

Why is Sifnos perfect for families?

Sifnos is a perfect destination for families thanks to its relaxed pace, safe sandy beaches, and authentic Greek charm. The island offers a great balance of easy exploration, excellent food, and a welcoming, laid-back atmosphere that makes travelling with children effortless and enjoyable. It is also ideal for island hopping, with convenient ferry connections to neighbouring Cyclades islands.
