Hossegor is a world-famous mecca for surfers and one of the best surf spots in Europe, but not only that: The combination of cobblestone streets, perfect bike paths, a large inland lake that is perfect for toddlers to swim in, as well as wonderful French bakeries, famous surf shops, hip boutiques and an ever-increasing density of top-notch restaurants and cool bars make Hossegor and neighbouring Seignosse destinations that are reinventing themselves at a rapid pace. The impressive Basque-style architecture of the beautiful villas around Lac d´Hossegor paired with a laid-back surf atmosphere is super charming. The nature in the hinterland of Hossegor and Seignosse is unique and enchanted, along with the dunes and the seemingly endless beach.

Why is Hossegor perfect for families?
Diverse, close to nature and perfectly suited for all kinds of sports. First-class cycle paths, plenty of space, casual beach bars like Cabane des Estagnots, cool shops and boutiques like for example the summer pop-up store of the French swimwear brand Albertine Swim and casual wine bistros like L'Etiquette or brasseries like Balneaire - Hossegor and Seignosse are destinations that offer ideal conditions for the whole family. Teenagers can move freely here, explore the town and the beaches. Parents with smaller children can spend time at Lac d'Hossegor, and there are already sailing and kayaking courses and many other offers for the youngest. The many surf schools offer courses for every level and the endless beaches enough space for all family members to let off steam. The world-class surf spots are at Graviere and La Nord, as well as near Capbreton and Seignosse. On top of that Golf de Seignosse, which is located between the Atlantic Ocean and Landes Forest is an amazing option for golf. There are also stables for horseback riding and tennis courts. Perfect for an excursion is a day trip to nearby Biarritz.
