Costa Vicentina
Costa Vicentina with Kids – Our Tips & Travel Guide
Why Costa Vicentina?
The pristine beaches and large bays of Portugal´s most secluded coastline are ideal for surfing (don´t miss Aljezur), hiking (walk the fishermen´s trail) and chilling (everywhere)! Two hours south of Lisbon and just one hour south of Comporta Costa Vicentina is just about perfect for those still love to explore pristine nature and slow down to the authentic Portuguese way of life.
Niche Junior says
We value our kids opinions - which is why we introduced Niche Junior, giving our little travellers a platform:
I have never seen waves as big as in Odeceixe Bay. The river that flows through the valley to the sea is great for playing and swimming. And the hamburgers in the bar above the beach were really tasty.
– Tom, 10, from Germany
Why is Costa Vicentina perfect for families?
Costa Vicentina is the place of choice for a relaxed and intimate family holiday with stop overs here and there. We strongly recommend Porto Covo as a starting point, then heading further south towards Vila Nova de Milfontes to Odeceixe. Spend the day on Praia de Odeceixe, watch surfers ride on big Atlantic waves in Aljezur or simply enjoy fresh grilled fish in one of the local restaurants in Zambujeira do Mar.
