Just 300 metres off the coast of Bandol, Île de Bendor feels worlds away from the busier stretches of the French Riviera – a small, car-free island where time slows and everything is designed around a more considered pace. Originally acquired in 1950 by Paul Ricard, it was imagined as a cultural and artistic enclave, gradually evolving into a miniature Provençal village with a marina, ateliers and intimate gathering spaces. Over the years, it has drawn a discreet, creative crowd, retaining a sense of authenticity and quiet charm that is increasingly rare along this coastline.

Now entering a new chapter under Zannier Hotels, Île de Bendor is being reimagined as a curated, design-led island destination that feels more like a private hideaway than a traditional resort.
